New Green Roof Highlights Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall’s Commitment to Sustainability
Constructed during the early 1900’s, Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum is a treasured National Register of Historic Places landmark in the City of Pittsburgh. This multi-phased project aims to upgrade the roofing system of this renowned public building and incorporate the latest green technologies in roofing design. Phase I of the project designs and constructs a roof replacement for the building’s terrace level.
Following the roof replacement, Phase II involves planning and design of a green roof system to help demonstrate this organization’s commitment to sustainability. When complete, the green roof will be one of the largest in the city of Pittsburgh.
